It started in my dad's backyard.
My dad has grown things for as long as I've known him โ vegetables, fruit, flowers. A year ago he planted 20 desert roses, and only 4 survived to bloom. But those four? Thick roots, stunning red and pink flowers.
It felt like a shame to keep all that beauty hidden in his backyard. So we decided to grow more โ and that's how Yue Bloom was born.
Now he's planted 100 new seeds โ half in sand, half in soil โ to see which gives them the best shot. We're expecting about a third to survive, and roughly a year until they bloom. We're documenting all of it: the sprouts, the blooms, and the casualties.
